Wikipedia incorrectly states that the first tea party protests started in 2009, then actually CITES an article written in 2007!!!
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Tea_Party_protests (See bottom of page) "^ Smith, James F. (December 16, 2007). "Ron Paul's tea party for dollars - 2008 Presidential Campaign Blog - Political Intelligence". Boston.com. http://www.boston.com/news/politics/poli...tea_p.html Retrieved 2010-04-27." @ everyone "2009" MY A$$!!! IT WAS STARTED BY RON PAUL SUPPORTERS IN 07 AND CONTINUED THROUGH 08, I WAS F***ING THERE. We were using the name Tea Party to describe protests which were predominantly about monetary policy and opposition to the wars (non-interventionism). I was also out there educating people about the CFR and the fact that almost all the presidential candidates from 2008 were members. I'm sorry that so many of you are so gullible and wrong. Perhaps you shouldn't just believe everything the media and Wikipedia tell you. 2009 was the year when the failing GOP began to adopt some libertarian positions, and Fox News began to lie and take credit for the whole "tea party" phenomenon, with all the MSM placing clownish imps like Sarah Palin on pedestals, etc. etc. etc. you know the rest. Reality Check: Glenn Beck was implying Ron Paul supporters were "terrorists" back in 2007. Now he claims to be a libertarian. Gimme a break. |
