Why do people think you have to be attached to a political party?
I am independent, believing in the economic rights republicans propose, and the social rights democrats propose (Which I think is actually libertarian). I oppose the death penalty, which the libertarians do not. Just because I am involved in politics, doesn't mean I have to be aligned with a political party. The constitution guarantees the right to freedom of speech, not the right to be a democrat or republican.
