How can I focus on homework and not the internet?

Maybe go for a little walk to get some fresh air then you can focus easier on assignments. Unplug the internet, and if you need a break instead of checking Facebook just go get a glass of water or something.

I think the main thing is to keep yourself busy so you don't feel the need to check Facebook or Twitter, after all that's about other peoples lives when you should be concentrating on your own. And like you said, it's not like anything interesting happens on there so just keep that in mind
