Well i suppose first it all starts w/ a good idea. And you need to have these ideas be something that sets it apart from all the other networking sites out there. You also need to have a LOT, and I mean A LOT of money, so you can hire programmers and designers to code and visually design your idea. THEN you need to be able to market it and get people to the site! Then to keep the site running, you will need advertisers and supporters.

Successful concepts...no one knows until they try their idea how well it is going to do! But becareful who you tell. The SN market is getting VERY competitive these days, so your idea really needs to be top notch, and highly supported, yet go above and beyond what everyone else is doing to make a dent. Best of luck!
