why is it that when someone says that religion or belief in a Higher Power,they get attacked?

Welcome to the real world. Not the one we live in our living room in front of a television set. The one that most of us dont see. The one where we drive down the highway and see a family laying out under sheets. The one we are not there to witness as they get picked up and taken away so that nobody will notice the dead body parts splattered all over the inside of the car like bugs on the front windshield. Nor the one that has to suppress whole nations just so that we can feel comfortable when we go to the market and find the shelves full of so many things. Nor do we see or know about the country and the poor people who have to go out and pick and toil in the ground just so that we can have cheap tomatoes on our salads. The one where when you express your ideas you get attacked and suppressed by people you never saw before. The one that can get you killed for standing up and saying your mind. The one that needs two or three bodyguards surrounding you when you goes out anywhere because so many people either want to love you to death or kill you for your parts. The one where if you are a juicy morsel the people will squeeze every drop and more out of you. Welcome to the real world.
