why is it that when someone says that religion or belief in a Higher Power,they get attacked?

Because atheism is no longer just a state of disbelief in a higher power, but a movement now high jacked by anti-theists, you find more a lot of hem in religious discussions. they blame almost everything bad on religion and completely overlook the catalyst that is human nature itself, give these anti-theists enough power, and they will become that which they claim to despise, something like An Anti-organised religion.
