Sounds like you'd make a great career/vocational counselor, though you'd need a college degree to get most people to hire you for that. You'd also be a good recruiter for a company's HR (human resources) department or temp agency.
Without a degree, you could do marketing research. Basically, you'd call people and ask questions from a written script, things like which products they buy and how much they like them and why. These jobs used to be very common, but I haven't seen them in a while. Still, it's worth looking. Then again, there are those people in shopping malls, who approac you and ask if you'd like to do a taste test or whatever and take you back to their office (hidden in a hallway in the mall). You could call the malls and ask if they have any marketing research companies like that in their mall. Get the contact information and see if the company needs people. Sales might do it. Part of sales is finding out what the customer's needs are, then finding a match with your products. But success in sales ultimately depends on getting them to buy. Some companies want a degree, but it's certainly not required. If you go to school, consider taking an HR program, psychology, social work, marketing. |
