I am 13 years old and I am writing a book and is wanting to get published?

Well firstly, finish it. Edit it to perfection. Put the page numbers in the footer too. then you will need an agent. Agents help you finish editing and help you find the perfect publisher or market you income... stuff like that. You will need the Writers Market. I believe its just under thirty dollars but its REALLY worth every penny. next, to find you the right agent, look in the in back of the book and it will shed some light on which agencies sponsor which types of books buy catagory. Find a few and make sure they except new authors. next find a few publishers that also publish the genre of your book. the catogory thing for this is right before the one for agents i believe. Next go online and search question: query letter. you want something to compare yours too after you've written it. next send it off and keep the paper normal with you address phone number and email also on the query. send it off.
theres another way to find good publishers too. if you tend to read alot of books then you can always find a book you've read in the same genre and look at the authors publisher and agent by searching it on yahoo.
