What is a follower request on twitter?

Accounts with private Tweets will be asked to approve a follower request. If anyone click the follow button, one follower request notification will get on the left side of homepage.
Click the notification, and choose to either approve or deny the follower request.
Accounts with public Tweets will never be asked to approve a follower request. you can follow them just click follow button.
