It depends on weather.
If storm like Hurricane, Blizzard happens, every transit agencies will shut down before storm hit. Metropolitan Transportation Authority made mistake on Christmas Week during Dec 2011 and they shut down the service late and with some buses getting stuck in snow, people trapped on NYC Subway over Jamaica Bay for over two-hours. After that mistake, MTA shut down when threatening storm was approaching in Feb 2012 I think and recent Hurricane Irene and Hurricane Sandy, service suspended on bus/subway before the storm. |
