What does hiding a post do on Facebook?

Basically this girl posted on my Facebook and mentioned that we talked via Skype. And you see I am also talking to this other girl whom I kind of like and I don't want her to see the post and back off from me. I also don't want to delete the post and seem like a dick to the girl who posted it.... If i hide it from my timeline how does this appear to the girl who posted it? When she goes on my timeline does she still see it? or does it look like i deleted it? Help would be appreciated! and fast!
I'm just friends with the girl who posted it, nothing more and not interested in anything more. Too late anyways the girls cousin saw the post, gotta keep it now.
