Desktop won't turn on?

Hi There,

My guess is that one of the power cables or one of the cards inside has come loose while carrying it doenstars. One or more sticks of RAM might have come loose also.

You can check by unplugging from power, then press the "On" button to discharge the capacitors inside. It is also a good idea to wait a few minutes to make sure all the power inside has discharged.

Then remove the side cover and check the cards to make sure they are secure in their sockets.
Look closely at all the cables to make sure they are plugged in.

Note...before touching anything inside the case touch a metal part of the chassis to discharge any static electricity from your body.
Also don't touch any of the components on the circuit boards...touch the edges only when reseating. Just be very careful with everything inside.

Now would be a good time to clean out the dust, etc inside the case using a can of compressed air.
Doing this will save some trouble later on.

Hope this helps,
Al

Hope this helps,
