Find out about getting 'rights' on the manuscript. It should be something you can do yourself, it might take time and rigmarole .... but that in itself could be a useful experience.

My Dad got a copyright. So it can be done.

Once you have rights over your work you can freely promote it and know that if anyone else makes money on your script you could sue them ... (another rigmarole .. but if Disney gets a hold of it .. it could be worth it?)

Your work is 'safe in your hands' right now. So exploring the legal side of things could be a very useful and astute exercise.
