I'm being stalked, the cops won't do anything. Should I let it go?

The true answer: Never let it go! Don't let his stalking continue!
Tell your family and your boss or someone who is the manager of your job for your own protection! Be safe and if you are going somewhere at night, stay with friends. Continuing ignoring him, eventually he will get over it, trust me.
But for now, the best thing you can do is remain safe, change your phone number/ email address etc.
Show the police the messages he is sending you if they are skeptical or cannot do anything, it is for the best. Be careful and safe.
