that there was a case over the same reason which state that everyone received that message can sued facebook for using your content without your permission.
Means that facebook had lost the lawsuit and by law that they have to sent the e-mail you received to all the facebook user around the world. And also pay you for the damages that they have cause from using such content.
I have multiple e-mail with 2 of them were registered at facebook and I received that e-mail on two of my e-mail that was registered on facebook. Unless if someone e-mail that wasn't registered at facebook and received that e-mail. It safe to say that it a spam.
