It takes time. Don't rush yourself. With the holidays and all, we're all caught up in unusual demands on our time, and it takes time to gat back to normal.

You probably are thinking somewhere down deep that he could still accept you as a friend on Facebook--which could happen. Or not. Not everyone conducts all their contacts via Facebook or other social media, and there is still the postal service. You could, for example, select a neutral but humorous card, write a note in it referring to the concern he had that originally prompted him to accost you, say you hope he solved his problem, and post it to him (as you would to any absent friend who is on your mind). Then if you hear back, you will have a better idea of what, if anything, exists between you. If not, then it may be easier to relegate the incident to fantasy land and get on with your everyday life.

Remember, you have no idea what has gone on in his life since that night that he is not posting about on Facebook. You have seen An Affair to Remember, haven't you?
