I wish I was more of a mean person?

IMO, most people have a hard time breaking free from worrying about what other people think until they get out of high school where there is a more intense, closed system where the same people see each other every day & comparisons are always happening, pressure to be a certain way sometimes, & all that.

If you get out around a lot of other people, like friends of family members, neighbors, people of different ages, different situations, etc., it's easier to see how little what other people think matters, and also that the more you learn to feel comfortable about who you are & doing what your interests lead you to do, & just basically following your own inside compass, the more other people will find you to be interesting and cool. People are attracted to & tend to admire other people who have a good sense of identity, of who they are, what they like, where they want to go, what they're interested in, and seem comfortable being themselves.
