Although it is true that that shows such as Teen Mom may glorify teenage pregnancy, there are a lot of factors to be considered before judging. First off, society seems to paint motherhood as a beautiful perfect picture. Many young girls fail to recognize the reality of actually being a parent. I am not speaking for everyone, but I am very young myself, so I've heard the "I want a baby" by friends not out of high school. They are thinking about how fun it would be to have a child. Not about the time and effort that is required to raise a decent human being, let alone the lack of sleep and diaper changes. To complicate things more, I have met many girls that have come from bad backgrounds. They have a false sense having a child will complete their life, someone will love them, etc. It is sad, yet very true. I had a child when I was 17. My sister had her first at 15. We both lived very traumatic lives, and had to learn most things on our own. I wasn't ready for a child, so I chose adoption. My point being, not everything is black and white. It is good that you are fortunate enough to be stable and I wish you all the luck getting pregnant. With that being said, hang in there and gain some perspective before bashing others.
