If you are very knowledgeable about a particular thing or topic you can create a blog or website about it. If you find the right niche or get enough traffic from search or social networking you can monetize it by adding affiliate links to sites selling products related to what your site is about, and you would get paid commission for sending sales to them. Also you can place banner and text ads on your site using things like google adsense, and you get paid when visitors click the ads.
