How to get more people on my new website?

Forget the gimmicks..a hook? How many people have you told you have a website? Did you also put your link on social media sites to your website? Decide what it is you're trying to do with your site, are you trying to sell something or you just want traffic?

You can't make people interested, but you can do things to get them to take a look at your site. Do a couple of the things mentioned above and keep finding new ways to get people to your site, like joining a webring.
