Ex boyfriend is an ASS?

I will give you a little summary of how our relationship went. Lets say his name is.. "Paul."
I met him in 2010. I'd been going to the same school as him and I'd always catch him staring at me and waving at me. I really thought it was cute but just friendly, until he asked me out. I said yes.. And it was great from there. He and I did everything together, and we got along so well.
Everything was great until.. Yep, you've guessed it! A hoe ruined it. In December of 2011.
He was drunk at a friends house while i was out of town and his ex girlfriend was apparently there as well. He hooked up with her & did not tell me- his friend actually ended up TElling me when I got back from my trip to see my sick aunt. I was so devastated I wanted to never see him again. He apologized but continued to talk to his ex - and they dated for three weeks apparently.
I remember feeling so low, that is was my fault.. Somehow. But it wasn't. He dumped her and asked me back out- I was an idiot and took him back. He then treated me like shit the rest of te year. Walked all over me, took advantage of me and my money, snuck around like the scum he is. He apparently talked to other girls on Facebook all the time but shunned me away from my guy friends. I was a mess ad felt trapped. He also slapped me in the face. I ran as far as I could from him and spent the night under a bridge.
He became a slob I never thought he'd become.. And he'd blame it all on me.
The point is- I'm now done with the bastard- have been for 3 months.. And he's recently been harassing me with phone calls saying he "is watching me. That he will find out who my new boyfriend is and kill him and me." I've already tried contacting the police, and little has been done. They told me theyd Trace back the number. What the hell do I do? He's a psycho path now. I say lock him up for good.
