Sorry but Kozzmo is way off, a GP in the USA will charge anywhere from $100 to 200 per visit, if you go to the hospital emergency room now you pay individual services and DR'S..x-ray is 1 price, the guy who reads the xray also charges, blood work is another cost, a cast or splint another..and so on. I recently (in April) had a stent put in the artery of my heart, I went into the hospital on Monday and stayed overnight (without breakfast!)the entire bill came to $17,000.00!
Thank God my medicare paid 80%, but I was still expected to cough up the other 20%. Prescription in this country are another story, it's nothing to be expected to pay $ 3-400.00 for some of the newer med's out there. For the love of God, when I take my dog to the Vet..he charges me over $70.00..before any shots are given!! |
