All technology can only do what you ALLOW it to do.
Yes, smart-phones' come with a lot of garbage that (by default) erodes your privacy, however you DON'T HAVE TO HAVE ONE .. and if your do, you can always learn how to disable the worse of the 'spy' stuff (like 3rd party cookies on PC's) ... as to your concern rte: ".. our passwords" that's irrelevant compared to the fact that MOST people have given the mobile phone company free access to their bank accounts to take as much as they like every month .. (and the only password it can learn is one that YOU type in ..) But, again, there is nothing to stop you sticking to PAYG (no ID needed & you can make a point of buying 'top up' vouchers with cash)... and if you must use your phone for Twitter or whatever, there's nothing to stop you setting up a new account for every phone / every computer .. |
