YouTube is a harsh world, but there are a few ways to increase your hit count and get subscribers. Production of original, high-quality videos is the best starting point, so you're already getting there. Now, all you need to do is get people to watch. Don't pay for views using an external company, as this does nothing more than increase your count. You need people to see your video and return for more; an artist wants his work to be admired. Announce videos on Facebook, Twitter, and other social media sites. Make sure you've got good tags in your video, so it's easy to stumble across (keep the tags on topic to avoid being accused of over-tagging for views). You can also pay YouTube to promote your videos. This makes them appear in the "Featured" section, and is relatively cheap for what it's worth. Set up promotion on a couple of your best videos, or prepare a few new great ones to 'launch' yourself again. Put in $20-$30 initially, and see where it gets you. People are more likely to see these promoted videos, so the view count will increase. More importantly, however, you'll get people who want to see more. They'll look at your other videos, subscribe, or share with friends, and that's what you really need.
As long as you're producing original material, and building a fanbase, you'll grow as a YouTuber. I hope this helps. Ads |
