Temptation of electronic devices are ruining my sleep schedule?

I have the same problem. I've tried what you have and it doesn't work. Sleeping pills work but for me but it only works for one or two nights. I have a very vivid imagination and I focus on a topic that interests me and next thing I know I'm waking up the next morning. But I have PTSD from my time in the army and it's caused me to have insomnia and other sleep problems. Here's a list of things you can try.

1. Sleeping pills (over the counter)
2. Exercise or other physical activity like masturbation or sex
3. Meditation
4. Sleeping meds (prescribed)
5. Cough medication (ONLY as a last result)
6. Imagination (things you like)
7. Counting sheep/numbers/other repetitive things
8. Alcohol (only a small amount if it usually makes you drowsy)
9. Coffee/Energy drinks (as funny as this sounds these things make me sleepy so I rarely drink it)

This has all worked for me and I hope you find some use for these techniques. Happy dreams! :-)
