Like the others have said, you have to get some experience if you want to land a marketing job.
Try elance and odesk and do some projects for really cheap, or even free. Explain that the reason you're doing the job for so little money is that you're a recent graduate trying to build up a portfolio. Tell them up front that it would mean a lot to you if they gave you a recommendation if they like your work. That way you have both a portfolio and some recommendations after a short amount of time. Next create a LinkedIn profile to showcase the marketing work you've done. Describe the projects you worked on and what you learned at each one. Employers check out your page so get this up sooner not later. Good luck! |
