Dish Dual Tuner DVR!?

I just switched over from cable to dish. With digital cable, I could record two shows at a time, but had to either watch one of them, or watch a previously recorded show. Now I have dish dual DVR, or something like that. I have a TV in my living room and bedroom. They SHARE one tuner which is in the living room. I am completely confused on how and where to record things. On a couple of nights there are two shows I want to record at the same time. Can I record these on my bedroom TV and watch whatever I want in my living room? I am confused and need help soon please! What do I do and how do I do it? Thanks in advance!!
