How do I keep certain things away from family on Facebook?

You put them in a group and then when you post things you do not want them to see you simply block them from that group. They will never even know what their missing. If you want to do this post by post then you will have to exclude this group every time but you can also change it in your custom privacy settings so they can't see anything you post ever.
