In all honesty i say go for it. Just walk up to him and say hi. You guys already have stuff in common like ap classes, being really smart. Talk to him. Get to know him before making any moves. He obviosly is a shy person if hes never had a girlfriend. Just be friendly and make sure hes comfortable and when the times right ask to hang out with him with some other friends. This way its not a date and at the same time you get to see him when hes not in schoolSmile hope that helped
