I would suggest you to engage with people in various social networks (Youtube, Twitter, Facebook, LinkedIn etc), make a brand for yourself and then promote your site following the 80-20 rule.

80% of the time you will need to be genuine and not selling things. 20% you can use it for Marketing.

If you dont have much free time, you can take help of Social Media Marketing tools like Simplify360, Radian6 or Hootsuite. All tools have their own advantages and they differ a lot in price. You will have to find the right tool that serves your purpose.
