I think it's difficult for a lot of people these days to form anything other than casual relationships with those around them. When someone becomes too high maintenance or doesn't provide whatever they may want, they think nothing of "unfriending" them. I'm sure a lot of it has to do with social media and other technological advances that cater to attention seekers.

I guess what I'm trying to say is that it probably doesn't have anything to do with you. Most people are takers. The few who are actually givers tend to frequently get their feelings trampled on by takers. I'm assuming you're probably a giver, primarily because if you weren't, you'd be far more concerned about yourself than the feelings of others. That written, if there's anything wrong with you, it's simply that you aren't more greedy, self-absorbed and callous. Wink
