Buy a Microsoft Surface. Then you will be forever cured of ever wanting to buy another Microsoft product ever again.

After you throw it in the garbage in disgust, the Nexus 7 is definitely the best deal going now, it's a great piece of kit.

Or buy an old used up laptop, format, and throw xubuntu linux on it. You'll be happy. You can get great deals on used laptops, I paid $70 for this kick butt Core2Duo/4GB RAM ThinkPad on eBay.
