How do social networking websites help the economy.?

first of all social networking websites are usually run as a business. the person(people) who started the site are hoping to make money, usually through advertising. so they able the economy as any business does, through the transfer of money form one person to the other.

the second way social networking sites help the economy is the fact that create a place for people to get "together"

for many people that is just keeping in touch with friends (new and old)

but some use social networking sites to find work.

or get together with people to make something ( for example you can find people getting together to make things like films, music, comics, games etc through social networking sites and these people haven't meet in person)

because these people may not have been able to meet in the real world we are seeing mored products go out into the market place.

and thirdly social networking sites give a new place for people to advertise and inform people about their product. I'm not talking about just sticking an ad on the site but people creating a page on the networking site where they can tell people about their product or services and people can connect to if they are fans and want more info
