it helps them by giving u ads based upon ur interests...
for eg:
if u send an email abt cars to ur frnd.. u will find google ads based upon cars like "sale sale cars for sale !!!! "
facebook does the same thing...
its best to use a privacy/tracks cleaner such as CCLEANER
