I need to become unattached?
I am a freshman in college this year and I've been having the time of my life. In the beginning of the semester I met a boy in one of my classes. In my eyes, he is the definition of perfect. We hangout very often and enjoy one another's company. The only problem is I know it will never turn into anything major. Some people tell me that they believe it might seeing how we are towards one another, but I know that it will not. We are too preoccupied doing our own things and it has most likely never even crossed his mind. We do not treat one another like a couple, but we do spend much time together and he often sleeps over. We have never hooked up or anything along those lines but we do enjoy cuddling and watching movies each night. It is just nice having someone to be with. He is also a senior this year and I'm not quite sure how much longer he has at this University. I believe maybe a semester after this upcoming Spring. Altogether, I'm just trying to save myself the heartbreak. I know I'm going to hurt regardless, but I can most likely break away more easily now than later on when it will hurt me even more. I usually try to avoid texting him and looking to see what he is doing on social media sites, but he always seems to know when I am and beats me to it by sending me a message and attempting to hangout. He has never hurt me and I know he cares. I really would just prefer to focus on my school work and save myself the misery. Any tips? I know there are many others in similar situations and I was just curious to see how other people handle things like this. Thank you, I appreciate it!
