sounds to me that you didnt like those people telling her how pretty she is, which motivated your comment... your problem is that your idea back fired on you

and FYI... people post statuses on facebook for a whole bunch of different reasons. maybe she was hoping a particular guy would comment. maybe she DID feel ugly that day(it happens to all of us good looking people).

i'd say an apology is in order. not some dramatic public apology... just an apology to her in private
