the side bar there will be a direct message function click on that and then the drop down box will allow you to send her a direct message.

you could also just tweet her with an @tweet she will definitely see that as will everyone else. make sure she has added you as well. You can actually gain a lot of followers relatively quickly and have conversations with lots of people.
