I think a Hipster is someone who deliberately tries to be cooler than others by looking for "less mainstream" things. I don't see you as a hipster, though.

And what do you mean, "your taste is better..."? Everybody has a different taste. No one's taste is BETTER than anybody else's, but all tastes are "more preferred by one or another," if that's what you mean.
