I only have issues with two of these points; # 4. Given the issues that Eric Holder has had with gun control in his own office I can see him singling out combat veterans as "possible persons of interest"
And #16, I feel that a doctor has no right to ask me if I own or posses a fire arm. To me that's a violation of my privacy. If a person has been seen for mental health concerns then I can see this question being asked. But to ask it as part of a general physical or being seen for a sinus infection is asinine. Having enforcement of the existing laws and using the MAXIMUM sentences along with having mentally ill persons blocked from owning a firearm is only common sense. Plus is you tell a criminal who held up a gas station that he's getting 6 months for the robbery and 15 YEARS for using a firearm during the robbery that serves as a deterrent for the rest of the jack wagons. |
