What Laptop Would You Recommend?

Hello,

Recently, I had my friend over whom I had not seen in awhile, and she and I don't get to see each other that often. She has a desktop, but no laptop. I always tell her that she should ask for a laptop for her birthday or something so that we could Skype.

Here's the issue:

My friend has some learning disabilities, so she's not real keen with technology. She liked my Dell Ultrabook, but I paid through the roof for it, and she also liked the idea of Microsoft's new "Surface."

I was wondering what you'd recommend for someone like her- she needs something lightweight, portable, but nothing that is too fancy. The most she'd do is Skype and listen to music
