Hello!
YouTube is linked to your Google Account (Gmail, Google+). So if you set a picture on G+, your pcture on YouTube on the top-right hand corner will show that picture.

>To remove this:
1. Go to https://plus.google.com/u/0/ > View Profile
2. Pan your cursor over your current photo
3. Click "Change Profile Photo"

Edit: Go to Gmail and remove the photo.
