Propaganda is to overwhelm the mind in a deluge of hog-wash. Standing on its own merits has never been the point of it. Drown out the opposition in a glut of nonsensical cheering or jeers.
Think of it as Siafu (driver ants), they are small, but extremely numerous, and can take down anything.
Singly, there are helpless.
Diametrically opposite to personal responsibility, and a place for the immature to hide.
