Isn't it hilarious people treat online friends as IRL despite not knowing person outside of internet?

Well, I have something to say about your question. 

A while back, maybe 2 months, I was playing video games, and I was not doing very well, because it was my first time playing. Everybody was making fun of me through the voice chat, but one guy told me to go to a private server with him. He told me he was sorry about what had happened and he taught me how to play the game, over the course of 2 weeks. He gave me a load of items and we have become friends. I have never talked to his face, but he did more than most of my IRL friends would do; they would have joined in with the laughing. So I can say he is a friend to me, even though I don't know his name or face. Hope this helps you.
