Microsoft Surface is great. There are good no. of apps in the marketplace, but the number is very far from those of android and ios. I use windows phone and I'm a gamer too. The apps and games that I find is quite good.
The interface is much smoother than android.
The let downs that I could say is that It requires constant internet connection, otherwise you'd be bored and the UI is not highly customisable.

It has some great and unique stuffs that android and ios cannot offer. Like the hand gesturesand UI experience.
