Athiests what good is your science now so many kids are on facebook degrading their brains?

One of my favorite dystopian science fiction novels, Fahrenheit 451, covers this very well. I believe it was when Beatty visited Montag at his house that he talked about people throwing away books, censoring them, shrinking them. He also mentioned that one of the first things to go was grammar ... and you see that a lot on Facebook.

It's a scary idea that we could be slipping into that kind of society. And, one of the first banned books was the Bible.

Anyway, to answer your question, it's not just Facebook that's degrading kids' brains. Schools are used as equalizers, where no one is taught to excel. They don't bring up the weaker students to the level of the stronger students ... quite the opposite, they dumb down the material for the weaker students. And it's not just K-12 system, it's also the collegiate system.

I weep for America sometimes.
