That sucks what a butthole :[ , i'd be beartbroken. He doesn't like you or your friend is lying to you only you can tell for sure. Was he uncomfortable with you asking him that might have meant he just didn't like you like that. You can always say you woule prefer not to go with him, who knows popular people gets surprised when they get rejected . He might actually like you more. Good luck :]
