How do I speak to my boss about some issues?

Hi Snively, am interested to know what type of work environment you work in; is it an office setting, manufacturing, food service, health service, etc?

As far as her work ethics, stay clear of that issue and let your boss deal with it. If you try to meddle you'll end up appearing as a negative busy-body to your boss. Focus on your own tasks and do the best job you can.

About your job description; sit down with your boss and ask him what the tasks are that you are to completed. However, NEVER complain because bosses want solutions, not complaints. Present yourself in such a way that your need of a job description will benefit the company because you will have a clear definition of the assignments, can plan your workload and prioritize in such a way that will benefit everyone.

Is the music you complain about coming from a radio in her work area, or through her computer or ??
