What causes IE to 'spawn multiple screens?

you might have a virus causing this to happen. but first try resetting IE...follow each of this steps..

close your browser...go to start...control panel...internet options

click on the "advanced tab" and select "reset" at the bottom...then while still in internet options click on the "programs" tab and select "manage add-ons"... "disable" anything on the list that seems odd...then on the left side of the manage add-ons window you will see Show: with All Add-ons listed...select the down arrow and click on Run Without Permissions" and disable the same items listed. now you can open your browser and it should be working normal again.
