I have a Question on twitter?

Basically, the term 'verified' is used to authenticate well-known Twitter accounts, so users know that the tweets they read, are actually from them and are 'real', and not some poser trying to impersonate them. You know they're official, because they'll have a Verified Badge, basically- a little blue tick next to their username.

It's usually applied to celebrities, musicians, athletes, actors, public officials, public agencies etc..

For example, take a look at Obama's twitter..
http://twitter.com/barackobama
See the blue tick next to his name? That means his account's been verified.

Alot of 'official' stars are on Twitter, I'll post a link below for a list, taking into consideration that there are still alot of authentic stars on Twitter, that don't have verified accounts.

Hope that helped? :-)
