First thing, that's not a general-feeling, so it's not 'black-people', it's 'SOME people', which is very important, because stereotyping is a big part of why this is happening.
And the sad thing is, in a war, normal people celebrate the death of others too(the famous 'We got him' speech about Saddam). Society has fallen to pieces, there's people that see the police as the enemy, and enemy only, 'law and order' hasn't brought these people any justice, even when it should have, so they literally feel they're at war with the police. We need to stop trying to 'harden' society, focus on the negative, and punishing after the fact, because that's how this happened, we need to work on raising society up, to a level where there is a fair-chance, even if you have a different skin-color, where you can lead a decent life, without having to hustle. |
